Wise County Emergency Services District No. 4 (WCESD No. 4) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas established under Chapter 775 of the Texas Health and Safety Code and approved by local voters. The District provides fire protection and emergency medical response within its defined boundaries in Wise County, Texas.

WCESD No. 4 operates independently as a local governmental entity governed by a Board of Emergency Services Commissioners. The Board has authority to levy taxes, adopt budgets, enter contracts, and oversee service delivery. While subject to state law, the District functions autonomously at the local level.

The District provides essential public safety services on a 24/7 basis, including fire suppression, emergency medical response, rescue operations, fire prevention, and disaster response under the Incident Command System (ICS).
